"In basic terms, the apex or clipping point is the point on the inside portion of a corner that a vehicle passes closest to. The apex can also be described as the point of minimum radius and slowest speed achieved in a corner. An apex can be defined as being an earlier apex or later apex. An earlier apex will reach the inside of a corner at a higher speed and with a larger radius than a later apex."

Rolling Start:
A starting method where moving cars start a race after the starter displays a green flag.
When race conditions are ready, the safety car will leave the track, and the race marshal will show the green flag, indicating that the field is allowed to accelerate. The safety car typically leaves the track some distance before the finish line, and a few seconds may elapse between the safety car's departure and the showing of the green flag.

Time attack:
A competition which involves cars running around the circuit in lieu of a qualifying lap.
Time Attack racing is a type of motorsport in which the racers compete for the best lap time. Each vehicle is timed through numerous circuits of the track. The racers make a preliminary circuit, then run the timed laps, and then finish with a cool-down lap.

Victory Lap:
A victory lap (also lap of honor) is a term used in motorsports to describe an extra lap of the race track after the conclusion of a race. This lap, driven at reduced speed, allows the winning driver to celebrate their victory and gives the spectators an opportunity to congratulate and honor the competitors.

Slipstream:
Slipstream refers to the area of reduced pressure or forward suction produced by and immediately behind a fast-moving object as it moves through air or water.
This phenomenon can be used to gain speed before overtaking someone in a race.

Nordschleife:
The Nordschleife ("North Loop") is a part of the Nurburgring race-track.
Also called "the green hell", the Nordschleife has enjoyed a reputation as a terrifying and merciless route through the Eifel forests.
Racing and winning on the Nordschleife has always been very special for racing drivers, because the track is one of the most demanding in the world. Tricky corners, treacherous crests, steep inclines and gradients and constantly changing road surfaces demand great skill from the driver and put vehicles to a hard test.

Push-to-pass:
Push-to-pass is a mechanism on a race car which provides the driver with the ability to increase the car's power for short periods of time, usually via a button on the steering wheel. The system is designed to make overtaking easier and hence make the sport more exciting to watch.

G-Force:
G-force can be described as a force acting on a body as a result of acceleration or gravity.
Analysis of g-forces are important in a variety of scientific and engineering fields, especially planetary science, astrophysics, rocket science, and the engineering of various machines such as fighter jets, race cars, and large engines.

Fuji Speedway:
Fuji Speedway (富士スピードウェイ, Fuji Supīdowei) is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Fuji Speedway has one of the longest straights in motorsport, at 1.475 km (0.917 mi) in length.
In the 1980s, Fuji Speedway was used for the FIA World Sportscar Championship and national racing.
